Watchful Waiting

Visits to specialists in two states and scores of tests have produced no definitive diagnosis for my favorite artist. While tests continue, we are officially in a period of "watchful waiting." What are we waiting for? We're waiting for whatever-it-is to become bad enough that it can be fully identified and treated.
